ASC (Advanced Sensors & Calibration)
ASC (Advanced Sensors & Calibration), headquartered in Bavarian Pfaffenhofen, is one of the leading manufacturers of acceleration and rotation rate sensors, as well as IMUs (Inertial Measurement Units).
In rail transport, ASC sensors monitor the stability of bogies and the wear and functionality of bearings, shafts, brakes and wheels. Defects can be localised faster, maintenance cycles optimised and costs reduced. A variety of brake function tests are carried out with ASC sensors in train travel tests.
ASC sensors also measure the shocks transmitted to the soil from trains via the rail bed. The measured data indicates whether the soil characteristics are sufficient to give the rails enough stability.
ASC sensors are used in
• Structural Testing of components (z.B. Wheels, Bogies,Brakes, Car Bodies, Axes)
• Structural Testing of tracks
• Structural Analysis of Drawbridges
• Structural Testing of complete trains
ASC products meet a high quality standard that is ensured by own production at the Pfaffenhofen site.
On 10th December 2013 ASC GmbH was rewarded with the“2014 European Frost & Sullivan Company of the Year Award” in Frankfurt. We thank all our customers for their confidence.
